Scheduled to be installed at our facility in November 2018, this press will enable us to expand our capabilities into this market with quick turnaround on Hot Formed components and sub assemblies. These orders may include titanium aerospace parts used in jet engines and or firewalls.
To function efficiently, this press will operate at temperatures up to 1600F. In regards to these production standards, Beckwood Press has incorporated several innovative features.

Some of the technological components installed within the press include:
- 30” x 48” heated platens fabricated TMA® 4505 – a high-strength, heat-resistant alloy developed specifically for high temperature applications. (Each platen contains nine heating zones to ensure temperature uniformity to within +/-5F.)
- Automated insulated door systems, which efficiently contain heat within the forming chamber and allow access during part or tool loading/unloading.
- Structure engineered to the Infinite Life classification using finite element analysis (FEA) design software.
